David Phinney: FATHOM President and CEO

I was born at Agana Heights Naval Base to a Marine and a Sailor and, having served in the Army myself, am the third generation from both sides in my family with a military background. Growing up in a military family, and my many years of service have taught me the value of personal integrity and of assisting others.

Shortly after graduating from high school in a small town in southwest Michigan, I joined the Army to support our country during a time of War. I have been deployed to nine countries while working Military Intelligence, Finance, and Legal. During my most recent assignment, I led over 150 Soldiers, Military Civilians, and Military Contractors through the complexity of institutionalizing cutting edge military intelligence equipment from the bottom up while working with companies like Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, and General Dynamics. Throughout my life and during my military career, I have maintained an open mind about learning. What I have experienced during my time serving in the U.S. and abroad is the value of teamwork, and open honest communication.

My personal thoughts regarding misappropriation within our economic system, and the level of misrepresentation existing from our political leaders, drove me to assist others in reclaiming funds due to them. It is for those reasons that I decided to found FATHOM alongside my partner, on the basis of recognition for individuals who were negatively affected financially through tax foreclosure during a worldwide pandemic and beyond.

Andrew Cripe: FATHOM Vice President and CFO

I was born and raised in the small town of Dowagiac in Southwestern Michigan. I’m the sixth generation of lumber yard workers who founded our hometown's first saw mill in 1859. Our family business was built on hard work and honesty. We took pride in always doing the right thing for our customers, and this mindset was handed down to us through each generation.

The lessons I learned throughout my upbringing also included adapting and forging strategic long-term partnerships. This enabled our business to endure during the hardest of times. After learning these lessons in the lumber yard, I went on to complete my education at DePauw University.

After graduation, I spent the next decade working my way up in a national home-remodeling company wherein I worked my way from the bottom to eventually oversee the largest operation in the Midwest.

My passion and focus has always been to put people first. This is why my Cousin and I formed Fathom. It has become very clear to us that the American Government has lost sight of its most valuable asset - its people! Our years of experience have allowed us to help many people to reclaim money that is rightfully theirs. Our goal is simple: To prevent the government from keeping your money!
